Holding Beds Workparty

Annual Holding Beds Work Party

To keep things running smoothly, our holding beds must be kept in tip-top order. Once a year, usually in early December before the busy salvage season begins, we clean excess dirt and muck from the holding beds, weed and organize already potted plants, and clear the walkways of grass and dirt.

This pre-season get-together also provides a great backdrop to catch up with old friends and fellow volunteers - it always proves a good time for all! A hot vegetarian lunch is served at our Annual Holding Beds Work Party.

See our calendar for the date of this year's work party.

Holding Beds Volunteers are also needed for on-going routine maintenance throughout the year, but especially in the summer, so we can prevent weeds from invading the pots. If you'd like to be part of a special group that maintains the holding beds during the year at the times that suit your schedule, please let us know.
