Chasmanthium latifolium (Northern Sea Oats) (1 gal)

Sold Out (Use Waitlist)

Prized for its flowers that rustle in the winter wind and capture the winter light! This is a showy, ornamental, clumping grass with large, graceful seed heads that provide winter interest.  Grows 2-5 ft. tall by 2.5 ft. wide in sun to part shade; this is one of the most shade tolerant of the ornamental grasses -- and will be more drought tolerant when not in blazing full-day sun.

The leaves start as blue-green but then turn yellow-gold in the fall and ultimately brown in winter.  Shear back last year's top growth in late winter before the new growth starts to emerge.

Attracts butterflies and birds and is deer resistant.
