Sold Out (Use Waitlist)

Heleniums are a late-summer and fall specialty, and this cultivar is a particularly compact variety that forms compact mounds that grow 12 to 15 inches tall by 15 to 18 inches wide.

This vibrantly colored Helenium features brick-red petals tipped with gold surrounding a dark-brown center. Flowers bloom from late summer through fall and pair nicely with Echinacea, Geum, Gaillardia, Rudbeckia, and ornamental grasses. Dead-heading will prolong flowering.

Heleniums thrive in full sun and moist, well-drained soils, but will tolerate clay and wet soil. It will be more or less drought tolerant, depending on the soils in which it’s planted; it may require more supplemental water to get established, and may need some occasional watering during very hot spells once it’s established.

This compact cultivar also works in containers and for cutting, attracts pollinators, and is deer and rabbit resistant.
