This viburnum is a showy compact evergreen shrub prized for its year-round appeal. Special features include broad clusters of tiny flowers that begin as tight rosy-pink buds and then open into honey-scented, creamy-white, star-shaped flowers that attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. The flowers become clusters of unique metallic-blue fruits that attract birds, yet enough also persist through winter that many are still present when the next flush of flower buds appears the following late winter, offering a stunning sight of the contrasting blue fruits and rosy nascent flowers. The fruits deepen in color as they remain on through winter, providing a striking contrast with the shiny, deep-green evergreen foliage.

‘Spring Bouquet’ is a dwarf cultivar, growing moderately fast to a mature size of just 4-6 ft. tall and wide, making it easy to site just about anywhere in your landscape: as a focal point, massed closely to create a low screen, or used as accents within a mixed border, or to soften the corners of a structure.

Spring Bouquet Viburnum is adaptable to a wide range of site conditions: it can grow in any but the driest soils, and will grow in full sun to shade. Full sun is best for producing the flower display, but it will grow in semi-shade or shade, with correspondingly reduced flower production the shadier the site.

An easy-care plant, its drought tolerant once established and resistant to pests, diseases, and deer. And with its compact size, it shouldn’t even require pruning.
