Hedgerow Installation

Join us and Thurston Conservation District for a hands-on planting opportunity! We will planting a hedgerow at a local farm in Rochester, WA and are in need of volunteers ready to get their hands dirty. This is an especially good opportunity for those interested in planting their own hedgerow, big or small!

Learning topics: Planting different stock type, planting large stock (5 gal), diverse maintenance techniques, and choosing plants based on micro-growing conditions. Micro-growing conditions are when a site has various types of substrate, drainage, and other growing factors over a relatively small area. This can complicate your planting plans, so we are excited to provide information on how to navigate a site like this!

Additional information to follow as the date approaches, but for now you can fill out an interest form at this link!
