Mahonia repens (Creeping Oregon-grape)

$0.00

This Eastern-Washington native species is perfect for those spots where you have too much sun for native Mahonia nervosa, and too much shade for Mahonia aquifolium! Moreover, the gently "creeping" habit of Mahonia repens makes it ideal for filling in around trees and shrubs, and it mixes well with ferns and perennials. A compact grower to about 2 ft. typically, each plant spreading a few feet.

Best in dappled sunlight or part-day sun, and adaptable to various soils. As with all Oregon-grapes, bright yellow flowers and edible blue berries among evergreen leaves make for an eye-catching and deer-resistant carpet!
