Pectiantia (Mitella) pentandra (Fivestamen Miterwort)

$0.00

One of our favorites of the native PNW saxifrage-family perennials, this species blends well with other shade-loving native perennials, such as Wild Ginger, Fringecup, Vanilla Leaf, Star-flowered False Solomon's Seal, and Inside-out Flower.

Like all saxifrages, an up-close look at the saucer-shaped, frilly flowers borne on stalks is always a delight for us plant lovers, while the dense foliage carpets the bare ground between other perennials in your woodland garden. The fleshy leaves are heart-shaped ovals with ruffled margins, while the flowers will rise above on stalks up to 15 inches or more.

Best in part to full shade, but tolerant of a wide range of soils.
