Yarrows are a key species in any water-wise sunny landscape, and this ‘Saucy Seduction’ cultivar adds a burst of long-blooming rosy-pink flowers atop semi-evergreen, vigorous grey-green fernlike foliage. This selection grows about 1-2 ft. high and wide, with robust growth that retains an upright form no matter the weather.

This cultivar begins blooming in spring and can keep going to fall with a bit of deadheading. Or, leave the flowertops to provide sturdy structure for winter interest and habitat.

The wide flowertops of yarrows are renowned as magnets for butterflies, bees, and beneficial insects such as green lacewings that keep pesty insects in check, while the aromatic foliage tends to discourage deer and rabbits. All yarrows appreciate a sunny spot with great drainage, and never require watering once they’re established. Because they have a little winter presence, yarrows are great complements to more ephemeral plants, such as our native red columbine, Lithophragma, Potentilla, or waterwise Coreopsis varieties.
