Camassia leichtlinii (Giant Camas) 1 gal

$12.00
Sold Out (Use Waitlist)

A super perennial from our remaining South Salish prairies, Giant Camas towers over Common Camas and extends the bloom time with stunning blooms of blue/purple star-shaped flowers on 2.5-4 ft. stems, from April to early June.

Over time, one plant will self-seed by bulblets, providing you with a glorious patch of spring and early-summer color and many offerings for butterflies and other pollinators!

Plant with other native prairie perennials and some evergreen or late-season subshrubs, ornamental grasses, or perennials to fill out the space as this early-blooming ephemeral fades. The foliage is robust and persists longer than Common Camas. Plant in full sun to part shade; tolerant of many soils, including lean rocky/prairie to dry clay soils.
